El Campello is a quaint holiday resort and perfectly located on the Costa Blanca coast of Alicante. This is a town that has resisted the lure of mass tourism and with its unpretentious air, this resort is perfect for both everyone.

Situated between Alicante City (13km) and the busy resort of Benidorm (26km) and has a history and a charm all of its own. With miles of wide sandy white beach, a pretty fishing port area, mountain views and a wide selection of quality restaurants and if you fancy a bit of fiesta then you can take the tram to Alicante or Benidorm.

El Campello has a proud history giving the town a unique feel. Around the port area archaeological remains of circular cabins dating back to 3000BC have been found and the little fishing harbour with its adjoining mariner are overlooked by a 16th century watchtower that acted as a warning against raids from passing Pirates.

In the present day tourism is the town's main draw and no wonder! Dominating the resort is the blue, sun-kissed Mediterranean backed by a broad, pearl white beach stretching for miles. But the real difference is that the town planners have carefully considered the impact tourism could have and made sure that the individuality of El Campello is maintained.

We hope it will stay that way but the way things are at the moment I can't see much more being built in the next couple of years. It's mid September and I would say that it is turning a bit chilly for this time of year, although there are still a few brave souls bathing in the sea.

Drawing its power from a unique tuning fork system, the Bulova Accutron was the world's first electronic watch. Inside the casing, a 360 hertz tuning fork sat between two electromagnet coils, which formed a single-transistor oscillator circuit. This drove the fork, which in turn powered the watch's hands and allowed the device to keep time. The original Accutron was discontinued in 1977 after over 4 million of the timepieces had been sold.

The invention of the Accutron launched Bulova not just into the national spotlight - but into space. Throughout the 1960s, Bulova competed with its rival Omega to create the "first watch on the moon." Omega won this battle, as Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin had an Omega Speedmaster Professional on his wrist when he first set foot on the moon.

But the Bulova wrist watch company also came out on top - and in space - as NASA used tuning-fork-powered Accutrons for all of its spacecraft time-keeping devices. This is because scientists were unsure how other electronic movements would fare under low gravity.

In addition to the lounges, there are plenty of restaurants and cafes on the Monarch. The two dining rooms are Vincent's and Claude's. Both of these offer a fine dining experience. They both have a raised center section and lower perimeter banquet seating options. If you want something more casual, you can head to the Windjammer Caf. This is a buffet restaurant that features pizza, turkey, pasta, salad, rattan, and any other bistro-style food you can eat.

Overall, the Monarch is one of the Royal Caribbean's most popular ships, and if you are looking for an inexpensive cruise, this is a great choice. It is not the most luxurious of ships, but it is an ideal solution for getting away for a few, fun-filled days.

Review Of NCL's Pride of America 7 Day Hawaiian Cruise

My first impression of The Pride of America was "this is great, we get champagne just for walking aboard". It was pretty cool. I am a big cruise ship enthusiast, and although this is a pretty standard service, it gets me every time. Anyways, we stayed in one of the suites on the 1100 deck, and it was beautiful, it looked over the sea and had its own balcony, as well as its own butler. We could contact our butler at all times (he had his own phone). The first night was in Honolulu, and we sailed all night until we arrived in Maui. The area we docked in was Kahului and it was in kind of an industrial area, but everything was only a shuttle away (a free one).

That night we ate at the skyline restaurant and got to meet Hero and James. They were our servers and they were fantastic! So charming and so on top of things. They were our servers all week long and they really made the difference for the ship. Unfortunately, one night we had Jose as our server... and to be honest, he was just rude. The service on the ship really varies. Some are great and some are absolutely atrocious. Sunday night was an overnight in Maui, and Monday night we sailed to Hilo, which was so-so. I did not think much of it, just rainy and overcast all day long. Wednesday we arrived in Kona, which, for being on the same island as Hilo, was delightful! So gorgeous, the whole area around where we docked was beautiful and very quaint. Thursday was my favorite of all, Kauai. We had heard so much about the Kalalau trail from James(our wonderful server), and since we are avid hikers, we gave it a whirl. SO beautiful, absolutely breath taking. Kauai was an overnight so we left around 5 o clock on Friday, to set sail to Honolulu.

Overall the cruise was great... the drinks were all a little over priced, but what do you expect. I would highly suggest the Pride of America 7 day cruise to anybody that is thinking about. The landscape of Hawaii is just too unrealistically gorgeous it would be a huge mistake to miss.
